Dedication, compassion and humble are synonyms of Hector O. Chapa, M.D. born in Laredo, TX Dr. Chapa had to become the man of the house at a very young age. Unfortunately the death of his father inspired him to become a physician. At this point in his life he has become more than just the “man of the house,” as his mother said. Dr. Chapa has been a very successful man in all aspects of his life. To begin his journey in the medical field Dr. Chapa went to Laredo Community College. He then received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the University of Texas in Austin. He received his doctorate degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He finally completed his residency training at Parkland Memorial Hospital. As a student in medical school he always dreamed of being the professor. Currently Dr. Chapa has become the Medical Director of Women's Specialty Center and has proudly managed to make this center an International Teaching Site for Johnson & Johnson Thermachoice Endometrial Ablation. Instead of being the student for so many years he has become a teacher for physicians internationally. To describe the humane part of Dr. Chapa he is very involved with the local community. Once a week he donates his time as a physician at Angeles ob-gyn, which is a non profit clinic dedicated to help women with their pre natal care. Aside from his community Dr. Chapa likes to spend most of his time with his wife and kids. He and his wife are very involved in their child’s school activities and with their local church.
