“As a child I remember going with my dad to do medical research, since then I knew that I wanted to become a doctor like him …” Dr. Van Duyne quotes. Following the footsteps of his father Dr. Van Duyne decided that he wanted to do something in which he would be able to give the gift of life. The field of Obstetrics Gynecology would fulfill his dream of watching life grow among his eyes.
Born in California Charles P. Van Duyne, M.D. decided to follow the medical field at a very young age. After high school he decided to make a drastic change of lifestyle and moved to New York to begin his career in Medicine. He graduated from the Albany Medical College in New York and continued his residency program at Mary Imogene Basset Hospital in New York as well. Once he finished his medical education he went to the military where he practiced medicine for five years. When he returned from the military he changed his lifestyle again and moved to Texas where he now lives happily married with four kids and two grand children. To compensate for his hard work as a physician Dr. Van Duyne spends as much time as possible with his family and is also very involved in his church. The humane part of Dr. Van Duyne encourages him to go on mission trips to third world countries in need. He recently returned from Honduras in which him and his colleagues worked seven days a week and performed surgeries to those in need.
